August 2019, 20 years-old aspiring firefighter James Teer from Birmingham, England, was playing football with his friends when two men pulled up in a BMW. The two men shot him in the face point range in broad daylight and drove away. James was only a few weeks away from his 21st birthday. He and his friends had planned to go on a holiday for his birthday but unfortunately, that would not be happening.

After the shooting, the two men got rid of the gun and decided to head to the fast-food chain Pepe’s Piri Piri for some fried chicken. The CCTV footage caught the men ordering and leaving with their food. The footage also showed one of the men wiping his lip with a tissue. The tissue was later used by the investigation team to identify the men. The men were 20 years-old Sharn Miles and 19 years-old Ty Blake. Ty’s lip had been cut by the gun’s recoil.
