Michigan’s Oxford High School shooting left four people dead and eleven people injured making it the US deadliest shooting since 2018. There have been 48 shootings on US school campuses this year.

Just before 1 PM on Wednesday 1 December 2021, 15 years-old Ethan Crumbley, a student at Oxford High School, open fired more than 30 shots at his schoolmates. Video from the school surveillance cameras showed Ethan going into a bathroom with a backpack and coming out with a gun. He then proceeded to walk down the hallways and shot fellow students. The videos showed Ethan shooting fellow students at close range “oftentimes toward the head or chest.” The Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard described the crimes as “it’s chilling. It’s cold-hearted, murderous.”

An announcement about a school shooter was made on the school’s speakers. The students and teachers barricaded the doors and grabbed anything to protect themselves as they learned in active shooter drills.

Hundreds of 911 calls were made. The officers found Ethan within minutes of arrival. He set down the gun and…
